How to Feature a Post on LinkedIn

By the Crowbert teamUpdated June 2026

Quick answer

On your profile, click the plus icon in the Featured section and choose what to add: your posts, articles, newsletters, external links, or uploaded media. You can also feature a post directly from its three-dot menu with Feature on top of profile. Featured items sit in a carousel near the top of your profile.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open your own profile

The Featured section sits below your About section. If you have never used it, adding a first item creates it.

  2. 2

Click the plus icon in Featured

A menu offers Posts, Articles, Newsletters, Links, and Media. Pick Posts to browse your activity and select one.

  3. 3

Or feature straight from the post

On any of your posts, open the three-dot menu and choose Feature on top of profile. It lands in the section immediately.

  4. 4

Add links and media for non-post assets

Use Links for case studies, portfolios, or booking pages, and Media to upload decks, PDFs, or images directly.

  5. 5

    Curate the order

Use the edit pencil on the Featured section to reorder or remove items. Keep the first one or two cards aligned with your current goal.

Worth knowing

  • Featured is a personal profile feature. Company Pages do not have it; they pin posts to the page feed instead.
  • Featuring does not boost feed distribution, it only changes what profile visitors see.

Doing this for a brand, not just an account?

The Featured section turns a chronological activity log into a curated pitch, which matters for anyone whose profile doubles as a sales or hiring asset.

Common questions

How many items can I put in the Featured section?

You can add many items, but visitors only see the first few cards without scrolling the carousel. Two to five strong items convert better than a long unsorted gallery.

Can I feature someone else's post?

No, only your own posts and articles can be featured. If another account's post matters to your story, reshare it with your commentary and feature your reshare.

Why don't I see a Featured section on my profile?

It only appears once it has content. Add any item via the profile's Add section flow or a post's Feature option and the section is created automatically.

Does featuring a post give it more views?

Not in the feed. The payoff is on profile visits: recruiters, prospects, and event organizers who check your profile see your chosen work first instead of whatever you posted last.
