What the table does not tell you
- The profile photo covers the lower left of the header on every surface. That corner is not design space, it is occupied space, and treating it otherwise is the most common header mistake.
- Headers crop more aggressively on mobile than on desktop. Keep the subject vertically centred rather than anchored to the top or bottom edge.
